Community Partners

VaCC is very pleased to be working with aligned community partners.

Together we support the human-animal bond by providing resources and programs to keep people and animals together and well.

WA Pet Project

Spay It Forward (SIF) is a program of WA Pet Project, a registered not-for-profit, and it is the longest-running, continuous desexing program in WA servicing the entire state. The SIF program works with vulnerable families by providing a partial subsidy to allow access to desexing, microchipping, and vaccination services. Currently, our vaccination service has only recently been introduced, and it is only available in select rural and remote regions of WA.

Hence, VaCC and SIF have developed a strong partnership that allows us to work collaboratively to facilitate the provision of essential veterinary and social services for people who are experiencing vulnerabilities that may be preventing them from accessing these services to care for their animals.

The Spay It Forward program is constantly growing and working in collaboration with community-minded veterinary practices across the state to deliver our program and ultimately improve the rate of desexed companion animals in WA. We would warmly welcome any new veterinary partnerships that would be interested in helping us reach this goal while simultaneously improving the lives of individual people, families, and their pets.

Containers for Change:

Making change for animals, their people, and the environment

VaCC invites you to participate in an initiative that makes a significant impact on the lives of people and animals and also supports the veterinary profession who serves them.

Veterinary and Community Care (VaCC) is a charity committed to supporting the wellbeing of animals and the people who care for them, particularly those animal guardians experiencing vulnerabilities, whilst enhancing the mental health of the veterinary profession.

To help sustain and expand our services, we’ve partnered with Containers For Change (CFC). Did you know that four out of ten drink containers in Western Australia are currently going to landfill? By collecting and recycling eligible containers, you can help us turn waste into crucial funds.

We have these resources available to help you get started (just email fundraising@vacc.charity for a copy):

  • Veterinary Clinic and Neighbour Appeal documents: Editable templates for use by the community and veterinary clinics.
  • Poster: For display at veterinary practice or workplace.
  • CFC Guide: Additional details on how to maximise your impact.
Every container recycled will directly support VaCC initiatives like Perth Street Vets, where we provide essential veterinary care to those who need it most. Together, we can ensure that animals stay healthy and with their loved ones, fostering the invaluable human-animal bond.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us at fundraising@vacc.charity.

Tax deductible donations are also warmly received at Donate – Veterinary and Community Care (vacc.charity).
